A revista Rolling Stone, divulgou uma lista com as 250 melhores músicas do século 21, até agora. Na lista conta com diversos cantores de diversos lugares do mundo.
Segundo os responsáveis pela categoria, algumas das obras contempladas “são hits universalmente amados”, enquanto “outras são clássicos de culto influentes”. O objetivo é “capturar toda a glória caótica da música do século XXI, uma canção por vez”.



No top 10, alguns dos maiores nomes da indústria musical da atualidade estão presentes, como Beyoncé, Taylor Swift e Kendrick Lamar. De acordo com a revista, houve diversas discussões durante a elaboração do ranking e evitou-se repetir obras do mesmo artista.
